Question : My sleeping heart rate increased from the low 40's to around 60 BPM in one day and has remained at the higher level for over a month. No significant event that I can recall would account for that. 8/11 it was 41. 8/12 it was 57.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

These heart rate values are within the normal ranges.

Anyway, considering the fact that you you have had a lower heart rate, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests to investigate for the possible causes:
- Complete blood count for anemia
- A resting ECG
- Thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- Blood electrolytes for possible imbalances

Hope you will find this answer helpful! Wishing you good health.
