Question : I’ve had floating stools for a month accompanied by abdominal cramps in the evening mostly or after meals and excessive flatulence.

I've lost about 3% of my bodyweight in that time 196lbs to about 191/192. Abdominal issues have been slowly coming on about 3 months but floating stools were rapid onset, almost over night.

My stool tested positive for fat content. 13g/24hr, pancreatic elastase was normal >500, normal lipase, and trypsin, normal cbc and metabolic panel.

Also had 2 MRIs with contrast and MRCP, done 2 months ago and after onset of symptoms that showed normal pancreas although it was done on a 1.5T machine not 3.0.

Dr suspects IBS/SIBO combination and recommended antibiotic treatment.

Curious about likely cause and treatment regimens

Lemon: Lemon contains citric acid, which has the ability to stimulate the function of digestion in your body. The action of lemon on your digestive system enables it to get rid of the toxins and undigested material that generally accumulates on the colon's (the last part of your small intestine) walls.

You will feel well in few days.
Therapy with Rifaximin 550 mg can be taken for 5 days along with a probiotic.
Take a digestive enzyme supplement before taking big meals.
Hope i was helpful.
