Question : Diagnosed with Hep C 17 years ago through a routine physical exam. Stopped drinking at that point and haven't had any alcohol since. No real symptoms that I know of, though I do get tired a lot, though that could be due to lack of sleep and that I'm older now. Took Harvoni treatment last year and am free of Hep C now. But my gastroenterologist told me last year that according to a fibrosure test, I have level 4 cirrhosis. Now with a new doctor (general practitioner) in a new city and he ordered an ultrasound and lab tests last month (no fibrosure test though). He says lab tests show all perfectly normal liver levels and ultrasound shows now signs of tumor or cirrhosis and that I don't have cirrhosis. Not sure who to believe. Does this mean the fibrosure results were wrong or more likely that the ultrasound results are misleading?
