Brief Answer:
You need to stop Coumadin 2 days before extraction

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing in,

Coumadin is a blood thinner that prevents blood clotting but you need to stop that at least 2 days before extraction to prevent excessive bleeding.

Please consult your physician before stopping it.

You may get it pulled out by an oral surgeon. Do give him/her your complete medical history prior to the procedure.

Hope I answered your query. Feel free to ask further.

Kind regards
Dr. Neha Sumra
