Question : Good morning Dr, Rynne:
For the last three days I have experienced a hot sensation in the left buttock. This only lasts for a few seconds and has an almost liquid fee.
First experienced the feeling in my car and thought the sear warmer was turned on.

Hello,

This sensation could be a result of mild to moderate injury to sciatic nerve which passes through your buttock. Some times in old age sciatic nerve get demyelinated and patient reports a feeling like tingling numbness burning sensation etc. These feeling may differ from patient to patient.
Suggestion:
MRI left hip to be done to rule out injury and condition related to myelin sheath.
Serum vitamin B12 levels to be checked.
