Question : My CT showed thickening of stomach lining. Over the past month I have lost 30 lbs (unintentionally), have low grade fevers, fatigue, no appetite and nausea. I have an endoscopy scheduled in 2 weeks. Is this a good path to take to find out what is going on?
Brief Answer:
Definitely the best test.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As per your query answer is Yes endoscopy is among one of the best test to rule out stomach condition,
Very likely your CT is suggestive of chronic gastritis. Gastritis is an inflammation, irritation, or erosion of the lining of the stomach. A endoscopy will help to take a sample of part of stomach which could be read under a microscopy.
Secondly it would help to rule out conditions like H. pylori infection or ulcers in stomach.
Hope I was helpful.
Thanks!
