Question : I was leaning over my bed to pick up something on the floor. The right upper part of my stomach bulged out & it felt like something was in there trying to get out. The pain was unbearable! I lied down flat in bed the massaged it. It went away for a moment & buldged again & had aweful pain! I continued to massage my stomach & Its better at the moment. Im afraid to sit up worried that when i use my stomach muscles to get up it will happen again.
Brief Answer:
Lax or sprained abdominal muscles.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for query my dear patient,
Have seen your details and i appreciate your concerns,
As per your query answer is-
*Very likely it seem to be spasm in a lax muscle.
*Abdomen also contains muscles.
*Its not possible for any visceral organ to protrude out in the way you explained above.
So as per me most likely a muscle can be involved.
Initially i would suggest you to use anti inflĂ mmatory analgesic like Ibuprofen twice daily for 2 days.Secondly to rule out lax muscle or damage to musclular fibres a MRI should be done.MRI is a good test to look for any soft tissue damage.
Hope i answered your query well.
