Brief Answer:
Either gastritis or gastroenteritis

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As per your complaint, it seems that he is suffering either from Gastritis or Gastroenteritis. Possibility of having Gastritis are a bit low as Gastritis responds very well to proton pump inhibitors.

The second possibility is Gastroenteritis or stomach flu. Stool and vomitus analysis and culture are required to confirm the diagnosis Gastroenteritis. It is an intestinal infection marked by cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever. However, its not necessary that all symptoms are there in a single patient.

Management is with antibiotics (usually a combination of Ciprofloxacin and Metronidazole) for which you will need a prescription however for nausea and vomiting taking Zofran 4mg thrice daily would be a good option(Its over the counter).

Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration–He need to drink more than usual to replace the fluids lost from vomiting.

Follow up with reports. Hope I was helpful. Thanks
Regards
