Can D And C Causes Itchy Vagina With No Discharge?

I had a D&C done Thurs Dec 22nd. Tues Dec 27th I began to feel itchy as if I had a yeast infection, but no discharge or burning, just some light spotting. I went & saw my Doc, whom simply looked at my vagina & said he saw no yeast/discharge & that I was prob just having a reaction to the D&C & blood. But I feel that maybe he should have taken a swab to make sure there's no other type of infection. It is still bothering me & I don't know if this is normal or what to do...
