Can Avoiding Bananas Prevent Pain?

I suffered from extreme lower back pain and went to see a Chinese doctor for acupuncture treatment.
Although the treatment helped a lot, I still have pain. He also said I should not eat bananas at all... why, I don`t know. Is there any truth in avoiding bananas to prevent/stop back pain?
