Can Melanoma Be In The Transverse Colon?

My 64 year old wife 5' 6" 140 lb wife had a colonoscopy yesterday and they found pigmented Mucosa in the transverse colon, which they biopsied along with some other areas they biopsied. She had a bout of melanoma in situ a few months ago which was completely excised. Is there any chance there can be melanoma in the transverse colon. She has no other sysmptoms.
