Can Taking Clindamycin After Root Canal Result In Rashes?

After having my first root canal I started taking Clindamycin. (10 days) Second root canal was done two days ago and have continued with the medication but this morning I woke up to a very ichy rash all over my chest, neck and upper back. What should I do? I stopped the Clindamycin but don't know what to do about the rash/itch. Took Benadryl which helped some is this a good thing to do?
