Could Heavy Bleeding, Migraine And Severe Discomfort During Periods A Sign Of Menopause?

I am 48yrs old and have always had regular periods up to 3 months ago! Lately they being extremely heavy and with clots at times and lasting longer than usual! Have much more stomach discomfort and migraine is very bad as a result! Cud this be the start of menopause?
