Could Itchy And Flaky Skin Of Temple Be Due To Eczema?

Hello! I have dry skin on my temples, it's close to my hairline and few days ago it started to get itchy, and when I scratched, the skin flakes just fell off. But then I put on a hand cream, cause I didn't have anything else that evening. It's like gone, but still a bit dry skin.. Can it be eczema?
