Could Mass Under Nipple Be Cyst Or Infection?

I have a bb sized "mass" underneath my nipple. Have an ultrasound and mamm. scheduled for tuesday, but cant stop thinking this is something serious.Somewhat painful, no discharge. Dr. didn't think it was an infection; maybe a cyst? I have a very strong cancer line in my famiy on my mothers side. I am 31yo.
