Does Clotting During Initial Pregnancy Stages Indicate Miscarriage?

hi i m 5 weeks 5 days pregnant..but 2 days before i found some spotting so i got freaked out and went to my gynocologist..he did an ultrasound n found a sac 5wk gestationsac n told me to rest more n gave me progesterone based medication n told me to go check in next 3weeks...as soon as i came bck from my appointment i had more bleeding n saw like 2-3 clots with the fresh red colour blood.i immediately called the doctor n he said to rest more n more n not to worry....but i have lost my peace of mind..i dnt knw if i lost my baby or i m still having it? it is normal to experience what i experienced?? plz help
