Does Heavy Bleeding With Blood Clots In Pregnancy Mean Miscarriage?

I m pregnant for the second time and at seven weeks since last period, I started bleeding heavier than my normal periods which are pretty light. The blood was bright red and this has happened off and on for over two weeks as well as a few blood clots. ER did a vaginal ultrasound and couldn t see the baby, hcg was at 1500. Went to ob 3 days later hcg was at 3400. One week later at 8 weeks 2 days hcg had only went up to 4900. Dr will see me Wednesday to go over more bloodwork and do an ultrasound. I m so tired of worrying and not knowing. I don t feel like I did with my first pregnancy. I have had some cramping as well. Does it sound like a miscarriage?
