How Can Warts Be Treated?

I have small warts in my neck region. i consulted a dermatologist and was asked to apply vaseline around the wart and then use trichline acid on the wart in very small amounts (just a dab). will this help solve the problem, if so how much time would be required. Would you suggest a speedier method of removal.
