How Safe Is Taking Lo Loestrin To Have A Normal Cycle?

Hi Dr Grief. I just started taking Lo Loestrin. My doctor put me on this pill because I was not having a normal cycle period. I ve only been on the pill for almost 2weeks and I forgot to take I pill so I took it the next day and I m on my period, AGAIN. I just got off my period (b4 I started taking the pill) is this normal??? Also, I m 30 and I want to start a family is this a good pill to get my cycles regulated??? Thanks for your time
