How To Cure A Screwed Avulsion Fracture Of Fifth Metatarsal?

6 weeks after screwed avulsion fracture of fifth metatarsal, I want to fully weight bear and have been testing it out, quite painful but not too bad. In an ankle air cast because the ligaments were ruptured at in the accident. Would it be ok to throw away the crutches and walk?
