I am really worried about spreading staph a/msra on to other people. My father is in an aged care facility and on a visit to hospital he was found to have golden staph on him. The doctor said every one can be carrying this bacteria from time to time. I have read on-line where it can develope into life threatening situation and I am worried about passing this on and inadvertingly causing harm to someone. I have read where is is in the nose. Is it the inside of the nose or on the skin outside. Would I be likelly to spread it if I rubbed or touched my nose inadvertingly. I have no evidence that I am colonized but I find that I am really worried even about touching my nose when it feels a bit itchy on the outside and I am not always in a situation where I can wash my hands.
Has everyone got it in their nose? What is meant by colonization..? I have read that you can be colonized and have no symptoms. I feel really guilty if I passed it on and caused someone to die.
