How To Cure Painful Redness On Nose?

My daughter Sarah is 8 year old , she was seen by dermatologist bec. of her nose re; pinpoint red ,no blister no discharge mild painpul to touch when you apply pressure , was prescribed acyclovir oinment x 1mos. not relived then prescribed oral acyclovir x1 mos , been taken x 2 weeks now I noticed its not working , before that she was seen by her peds MD AND WAS PRESCRIBED Mupicirin ointment , Iapplied regularly but to no cured , pls. help.
