How To Cure Swelling Ans Bruise Due To Fracture On Left Wrist?

hi im a 43 year old female 5ft roughly 9 stone ans slipped and fractured my left wrist im in plaster and it comes off in 3 weeks but my arn/wrist get v hot and hurts havent noticed any swelling the pain can be very intense is this normal and should i go back to the hospital thank you
