How To Get Rid Of The Scar On Face Due To Accident?

My sister met with an accident 12 yrs ago in which her right cheek adjoining to lip was severely damaged & she needed 8 stitching to cover the wound.Now the scar looks odd on the face.Kindly guide how to get rid of it & waht is the cost to undergo lazer treatment & plastic surgery.
