How To Get Rid The Balanitis?

hello..couple of years ago, I went for a doctors check up and discovered I have diabetes. I thought I had a UT infection cause I had infection on my penis. later to know it was Balanitis. the doctor gave me a shot for that Balanitis and in couple of days it went away. I was without Balanitis for a year more or less. now it came back again. its really hard for me to pull back the skin. my question is, how can I find out what that shot was? I remember it was kinda a thick liquid. can you please tell me what kind of medication can help me on that.
