How To Reduce Acne Scars?

i have a few odd spots not acne at all just two but i have scars from previous ones, any reccomendations on how to help reduce these. my GP has given me tetrlsyl 3000 for my spots but says its not acne but i dont want them to get worse if i start taking them.
