How To Treat A Burning Itch?

my Dr prescribed Trimovate cream as other creams didn't seem to be helping the itch. It hasn't cleared it properly and I use it every now and then. At the moment it is more the burning I get especially when I have been to the toilet. I am 83, 5' 7", 10st.10. I am fit . take blood pressure tabs, water tab. anti depressant and statins. On holiday last week I fell backwards getting over a stile hitting my back and my head. The lower part of my back is badly bruised and I just wonder could this have anything to do with the problem.
