How To Treat The Pain In Left Rib Cage?

I am 56 male and have pain in left rib cage. rib below niple and last floating rib have pain for last 3 months. GP says it is non angina and tenderness of cartilage. taking nsaid and applying volini gel but hardly any relief. i work on computers for several hours daily. could you please help me
