How To Treat Vulva Pain And Swelling?

I have a boil on my vulva large and hard about the size of an egg. discovered it two weeks ago went to gynecologist and he decided to do do nothing at the time. I was told to just soak it and take ibupren for pain it has since gotten bigger pain is unbearable. Went back on Monday he lanced it and there is still a lot of swelling. I go back on Thursday. What can I do for the pain and swelling that I am still experiencing? I feel like he waited too long to address
the issue.
