Is A Grand Mal Seizure Related To Painful Muscles?

I have a friend that recently had a grand mal seizure, all the neuro testing revealed no cause. She has complained of hypersensitivity in her muscles for a couple years. She would never be able to tolerate a massage, as it would be extremely painful. Even a gentle squeeze of her arm or leg muscle is extremely painful. Could there be a connection? Also, her house cat recently had an idiopathic seizure.....silly question, I know. I d really like some answers, as she would, since she was sent home from Neuro-ICU without seizure meds. They are waiting to see if this occurs again. Any input would be appreciated.
