Is Difficulty In Sitting And Standing Caused Due To Adhesion S From The Hernia Surgery?

I had inguinal hernia surgery three years ago on my left side. Ever since the surgery I have experienced varying levels of discomfort and pain. At times this pain is debilitating and I have difficulty sitting, standing up, getting out of bed or lifting my left leg! I am a normal healthy 53 year old male, 6 0 218 lbs. My family practice Dr. referred me back to my surgeon who examined me and said that my hernia repair looks fine and that he has no clue as to what my pain could be from. He said maybe it was arthritis in my hip or a kidney stone. Unhappy, I went back to my Family practice Dr. and he referred me for a CT Scan. Result cam back as Negative--Found nothing that could be causing the pain. The nurse who called said that I could be referred to a Urologist or Physical Therapist. In talking and researching this issue the one thing that I keep coming to is abdominal adhesion s that could be causing this pain, my surgeon said that he did not think that I could have developed adhesion s from the hernia surgery. What should I do next? Do I insist on a second surgical opinion? I feel like an exploratory laparoscopic surgery to look and see what is going on might be necessary. Your thoughts?
