Is Is Safe To Have A Hysterectomy During Heavy Periods?

Hello, I am 37 years old and scheduled to have a hysterectomy next month. However, I am clueless on what is actually going to take place and how this will affect my future. The first thing is that I do not want children! Never have and never will. The doctor said that I have multiple fibroids and 1 is the size of a plum. The others are smaller. The only thing I could really remember and understand was that he is going to leave 1 ovary and both tubes. As I do research, Im finding that you can still become pregnant even with the 1 ovary but it can turn out to be a tubal pregn. I have also have extremlly heavy periods and severe PMS. Im not talking about a little crazy, im talking about almost loosing my job and it has cost me almost every relationship I have ever had. I have never been pregnant in my life and it s not becuase of my partners. So they question that I have are as follow: 1. Is that correct? 2. Will I continue to have periods each month? 3. Will PMS continue? 4. What is the side effects of taking both ovaries vs just the 1? 5. Why would my tubes need to stay in? 5. With the Da Vinci surgery, will the fibroids and additional waste be discharged vaginally or is this surgery involving my vagina as well? 6. Will the vagina have to be surgically cut and it so, where? Sorry for all of the questions but I really need help. This will help me to determine if I need a second opinion.
