Is It Normal To Have 9 Days Bleeding During Periods While On Birth Control Pill?

Hi, I ve been on birth control for almost 3 weeks now. Well 9 days ago I started my period and it has not stopped. It is a lighter flow than what it was at the beginning. I just would like to know if it s normal, or if there is anything I can do to stop it?
