Is It Safe To Apply Burnol For A Burn On The Skin?

Hello Doctor,
Age: 29
Height: 5' 4"

My Query:
I have got a burn from metal of a gas tove while cooking today. It is at the reverse side of the palm. The skin has got peeled off. I applied Burnol after some time and later ice. It is burning and am worried about getting a permanent mark. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the burning and the mark.
