Is It Safe To Conceive While Having Mono?

I am 38 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 1/2 years. We are working with a specialist - I have gotten pregnant, but have had 4 miscarriages in that time. My college aged daughter (from a previous relationship) just came down with mono. I myself have a very sore throat and as wondering if I have it. Can we continue to try to conceive if I have mono?
