Is It Safe To Take Mycrogynon For Ovarian Cyst?

Hi, i get severe pain on the lower left side of my abdomen, especially during my period and 2 wks after. I am 44 yrs and have never conceived. A visit to the gyno revealed that i have cysts on both my ovaries and the right one has a cyst that bleeds. He has prescribed Mycrogynon for three months and a follow up scan. Are they safe to take as i do suffer from severe migraine headaches as well. And is there any other treatment
