Is It Safe To Use Norethistrone To Delay The Periods?

hi, I have used norethisterone to delay periods myself but want ask if it is ok for my 14 year old daughter? her period is due the day we go on holiday for 6 days, she as been having periods for about 18months, also my periods are starting to become irregular -menopause?- and so difficult to determine 3 days before , so can I start taking at the first sign of a period?
