Is Removal Of Ovary Only Option To Reduce Pain In The Area?

I am 45 and had a hysterectomy in 2006 leaving my ovaries. I am now having pain at my right ovary. I have had CTscan, ultrasound and colonoscopy and everything looks good. With having an internal exam by 2 doctors they both say it is def. my right ovary what could it be? and I have been given the option to have it removed what do you think I should do? This does interfere with everyday things.
