Need Medication For Rashes On Skin Due To Allergy

My son is just under 2 years old, and has a skin rash. we saw the doctor and they have told us that it is an allergic reaction to penicillin which he just finished taking. This morning he woke up and they seem to have changed to horseshoe shaped. Does this change anything?
