Need Medication For Swelling,pain & Itching On Top Of Foot Due To An Injury

my husband cut the top of his foot while using a hand grinder 6 days ago. He cleaned the wound and applied neosporin. When he woke up yesterday, it was extremely swollen around the injury sight and also reddish/purple, however he has absolutely no pain or tingling or numbness. He's 35, 6 ft , 250lbs. It's still swollen today, and he has been icing and taking ibruprofen, with little results. Any help?
