No Periods, Light Bleeding. Taking Birth Control To Stop Periods. Menopause Symptoms?

Have been taking birth control (Sprintec)recently have been on others, but this is the most recent to stop my periods for about 3 or 4 years, it worked very well at the begining, but in the last few months I have been having a period for about 2 weeks, not super heavy, but why am I bleeding at all. I have stoped taking the pill untill period is over and restarted and now here I go again? I am 48 years old, could I be starting menopause??????
