I have been suffering from migraine for 5 weeks now (ups and downs) ever since 30 foot scuba dive. Pain has been up to a 10 at times - was hospitalized for 2 nights in ICU- CT scan clear, blood in spinal tap so did MRI which was clear but had elevated Sed rate (but was also on steroides thinking I had sinus infection). Have been on Topamax 20mg 2x per day and Lisinopril 10mg per day (although I normally have low lood pressure it shot way up when in hospital). Repeat MRI 2 days ago was again clear. Neurologist has ordered repeat CBC in one week to see if Sed rate is normal after steroids are out of my system to rule out possible temporal arteritis as pain is mostly centralized around one eye and throbs at temple and is tender to the touch at temple. Pain has NEVER been below a 3 in 5 weeks-I seem to have some symptoms of migraines, some of cluster headaches, some of temporal arteritis - nothing definitive but the pain is unrelenting - any suggestions?
