Suggest Medication For Severe Acne

Heyy!!!
my name is ann and i am 19 years old....i was suffering frm agressive acne for nearly one year and i was on treatment for the last three months and nw it is much better than before but my dermatologist suggested that i shd start with the accutane(isotretinoin) treatment...im nt sure about doin it cz i did read that it has a lot of side effects so im a bit worried....so is it safe to go ahead with that treatment??????
