Suggest Remedy For Sharp Pain Above Eye

my 23 year old son got hit above his eye and received stiches. Took him to the ER 2 weeks later because he was having sharp pain above his eye and also to take the stitches out. The Doctor hah them do a cat scan and they said it was normal and that with this kind of injury he may have pain on and off for a while. It's been 2 months now and the pain is coming more often and more severe. Should I take him to his regular doc or a neurologist or wait it out? He is having the pain everyday now when before it was only 2 /3 days a week.
