This is horrible and embarrassing. Noticed slight itch in vaginal area before bed last night. It had been a big weekend (Father s Day), was very tired, and tho I have not used it much, or successfully, I applied some Vagisill to the area. 4.5 hrs. later, I was up to urinate (normal, I m 61) and the itch was so bad I could not go back to sleep. Cleansed area w/ goat s milk soap and put medicated Gold Bond powder on for a different sensation (no panties, loose pj s). Had a short, light work shift from 10 a.m.-1. Looked at area using a mirror @ home and the sight was awful. My Labia, both sides, were so swollen, they were stiff like rubber. Upon inspection, vagina looked normal; clear. Googled swollen labia during lunch @ home while sitting on cold cloths. Decided to do a 20 min. soak in tepid water w/ sm amt of baking soda ( 2T/gal), after cleansing area w/ mild (Arbonne) baby wash . This seemed to help and changed into 100% cotton underwear which I changed again later. A dischg began after using the compresses, fairly clear and thin, dries stiff. The outside of vulva feels itchy, rashy, and I have a lg red bump w/ raised, hard, light colored center above navel which I noticed last eve. Came into contact w/ poison ivy Sat and immediately washed my hands and forearms well b/c I am very susceptible. Today, I treated spot on joint on rt.hand below thumb, near wrist w/ Rx topical gel I have. Left forearm is slightly itchy. I don t scratch. I didn t suspect poison ivy, but think I should consider that this may be what is on my labia. I took every precaution so I don t know how it could have gotten there, esp. since I use paper to cleanse and took a shower that evening after cleansing my hands many times throughout Sat evening. If it is, cleansing often will helugenadryl) about 5 p.m. and will take another at bedtime. Have taken Zyrtec as well, which I take every night. I didn t know if it could be an allergic reaction to something. If it s p.i., then, it 1. I had something similar 2 yrs ago in the summer but my labia were not swollen like this. Thank you for your help.
