Suggest Remedy To Stop Heavy Bleeding For More Than 2 Weeks

Hello. I am having a problem with very extreme bleeding. I ve been on for 17 days now. This has never happened to me before. From day 1 - 11, flow was normal not heavy, just very long time on for me, but day 12 to 13 I had slight flooding. Day 14 was very light, then day 15 went crazy and I starting passing very large clots and a lot of blood. It stopped after an hour or so and then just had normal to heavy flow. Day 16 I had nothing at all, not even one drop, then day 17 all hell broke loose and the flooding and passing a lot of clots and it didn t stop for hours. I called NHS Helpline who advised me to see a Dr within 2 hours. I did and she prescribed me Norethisteron (and iron tablets) which I started taking immediately. The Norethisteron seemed to working after one day (day 18) with flow to a minimal and calm, but then about 4pm today I stared to flood again and went through 6 nighttime pads in 25 minutes, doubling up and going through to my clothes too. Then it stopped again. My Dr sent me for a scan today too and that came back clear .i.e. Lining of womb ok, ovaries ok (except for small cyst on one of them but scan lady said it was nothing to worry about as it was surrounded by healthy ovary tissue). So, I m at a bit of a lose now and to be honest a little scared by it all. If I continue to flood whilst on the drug, what else can I do and how long can this go on for? Any advice welcome.
