Suggest Treatment For Menoraghia

Hi, I'm 27 year old female and have be diagnosed with Menoraghia... my dr sent me for a pelvic ultra sound wich I had done today... the lady doing the ultrasound said that she couldn't get clear enough images and suggested an internal ultasound and was asked if I was a virgin, which I am. I did agree to this as I want to find a solution to my heavy period. Now that I have had the internal done does this mean that, I am now not a virgin??
