Suggest Treatment For Boils And Bruises

I had a rather large boil on my buttocks a couple of months ago. It took quite a while to clear up and now am left with a C shapy purple scar. It seems to be under the skin. It's almost like a bruise. Is there anything I can do to make this go away? I would hate to have this forever.
