Suggest Treatment For Dark Spots After Bruising?

I was playing paint ball like 2-3 months ago and was hit on the front part of my leg between knee to waist and I got a bruise and the bruise has gone away but i still have a dark spot where the bruise was and the same size the bruise was. What can I do to get rid of it or will it stay that way
