Suggest Treatment For Infertility

hi there!
i have been experiencing irregular menstruation like forever. before i do not have any problems with it. however, my fiance and i made it up to the "second level" and had sex. we used condom and i have already checked if i am pregnant but i am not. so now i want to take althea pills for three reasons:

first, i heard it is for regularization of menstrual cycles.

second, our wedding will be this december 2011. but we do not yet have plans of having a baby. maybe after a year.. so it is for contraception use.

third. if i am having a irregular menstruation and we already want to have some babies, it would be hard for us to 'estimate' my ovulation.

i am 21 years old now. to give you a brief background of my cycle, i had my first day of menstruation on july 12. then i had the next menstruation on september 06. now, i had my previous cycle last october4. can i take a pill even not on my first day? i am so eager to take a pill.
